While other four year olds were learning to ride a bike, Abby was relearning how to walk and talk.
At just three years old, Abby was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an aggressive and incurable brain tumor that attacks the brainstem. As her cancer progressed, Abby underwent surgeries to receive a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy tube which enables her to breathe and receive the nutrients and medication she needs. These medical devices have become her lifeline.
The Children’s Cancer Center has been a secondary lifeline for Abby and her family, offering emotional support, hope, and a community that understands their journey. Despite the challenges of MRIs, biopsies, and intense radiation, Abby remains a vibrant, courageous little girl.
With Your Help, We Can Do More.
We humbly ask you to join us this holiday season in making a difference by donating to our Kite Campaign - our annual call to our community to come together and support the 30 essential programs and family services that are a source of strength for Abby and over 5,000 children and families battling pediatric cancer.
