Dear friends and family, this year I am honored to be selected as a "Sole Man" to volunteer and represent "Wine, Woman and Shoes" in their fundraising efforts for the Children's Cancer Center. As many of you know, I am a two-time survivor of cancer and there was nothing more valuable at the time than feeling safe (physically, mentally and financially) during the barrage of appointments, hospital visits, invasive treatments and worries about the future. There we many times I saw families at the infusion centers waiting for treatments and it brought tears to my eyes... I couldn't fathom what they must be experiencing having to support their child through the long battle. Since the inception, this event has collectively raised over one million dollars for the immediate needs of children and families battling childhood cancer. Please help me on my mission to raise at least $1,000 for this very worthy cause - any amount helps and goes a long way to support families and children battling pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
